Little black dress

I love reading people. I really enjoy watching, observing, and being able to figure out a person, the reason they wore that dress, the reason they smell the way they do...

I want to revisit one of life's eternal questions: if you have a dress you love, how often can you wear it before reaching an unacceptable number of "repeats"? For me, this became more than a theoretical question when I fell in love with a very simple design of  little black dress...

Chanel introduced it in a time between the wars, when the bright colors, prints and heavy embroideries dominated the fashion. Very few things in fashion have stood the test of time like the "little black dress. Audrey Hepburn, while filming Breakfast at Tiffany's ,declared it was an unspoken Rule of Fashion that every women had to own a little black dress in order to have a complete wardrobe.

American Vogue in 1926 featured a small photo editorial for a brand new black dress by Coco Chanel. This simply black dress was knee length, framed by straight drop lines. Vogue's editors raved about the new dress design, labeling it "Chanel's Ford," comparing it to the Model T which made cars accessible to the masses for the first time.

If you still searching for your perfect black dress, your research is done now, well done, a dress from Dressale is perfect and is 70% off now, so what you waiting for!

Dress Heaven- Dressale trend board 2014

define the season with high style...

It’s early saturday morning as I am writing this with a mug of coffee in my hand and a vogue magazine on my knees and I can’t be more happy and excited to have the chance to share with you my first trend report. Today article would be about incredible collections of beautiful, hand-crafted dresses.

Recently, my blog start new collaboraction with the online retailes dressale.

The brand website is like a a dress heaven, with a great selection of dresses for every seasson.

Perfect White Dress

My first idea focus on white colour as this is still one of the major trend. But don't be deceived into thinking this is as straightforward as it looks; what sort of white you are demands some consideration. Will you be romanced by the broderie anglaise and pretty filigree fabrics  A perfect fusion of pretty girlish elegance, marrying stiff structured modernist cuts with beautifully crafted floral motifs.
Whatever your trajectory, this is your blank canvas to run with!

Another look i found interesting was the dress with graceful beads.
Display of artisian wonder, golden pleated detailing exaggerated tulle edging complete the lookl with those gold pupms. Metallic heels give character to sleek summer look!
Don’t be afraid to have a pop of metallic on your shoes for your statement piece. No one said that a necklace or a ring have to be your only accessories; your shoes can shine too!

I am glad that the pointy toe heel made a comeback because
it is a good look for fashionistas that want their legs to look miles long. (^_−)−☆

Gold Pumps

Lastly, for today article i look for something that will give us a unique look for a very special occassion. Every girl deserves to feel like a princess ;)
This season—from designers like Michael Kors, Givenchy and Proenza Schouler—
has a bounty of winning takes on the trend: turning pleats askew, bringing out their floaty side
and just making them as flattering as can be

Windy day

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold; when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade

I use my hair as a mask, as a shield. I hide behind it and it’s what keeps me me.
Some people make fun of me for it, but I don’t know who those some people are,
so I don’t care.....

That day luckily, the sun showed up, melting some bits of ice here and there, creating such a perfect atmosphere for an urban photoshoot:)  I have decided to go for a bright casual outfit, comfortable and warm enough for a full day in Leeds, doing all the things that I love the most : shopping and eating at my favourite places in leeds and reading Love Magazine!! YAY!
I went for a retro inspired look with this Crazy Jacket  that I got at River Island S/S14, matched with statement necklace and green cigarettes and grey merino wool jumper both from Uniqlo.

Snow Queen

Hello sweethearts <3
Today I want to show you a Make up shoot, I've done recently with a brilliant team for a CT Magazine.
The snow queen inspiration lie behind Tim Walker shoot for Vogue UK, March 2009 .
The aim was to create the realistic frozen effects, with the skin to look at though it was frozen by snow under the moonlight...

The snow doesn't give a soft white damn whom it touches...
Today was the first time when it was snowing this winter...

On the way to wonderland....

My loves. Hope you had an absolutely fabulous week-end, full of joy, love, rest and fun. I’ve been super busy these past two days workingon my university assigments and having few job placement interview for my sandwich year.

Just a few words, recently I began new collaboraction with fantastic brand "Sammydress"
The brand appears to have quality looking clothes at an affordable rate. The big diversity of choice from their range and the fact that Sammydress can offer the latest interpretactions of catwalk trends in their online store makes the brand even more appealing and exciting.
The lead time (from placing order to having the dress shipped at home address) takes around 12 days in my case, which is really good, taking into the consideraction that the parcel travels from China to UK.
The dress looks the same as on the website promoction image, and is made from good fabric composiction (My fashion buying guess would say that the dress is made from 95% cotton blend and 5% elastane fibres and has satin lining and few trimmings, which is really good)
The dress has a quirky feeling and is made with great attenction to every detail.
The fabric makes feel fairly heavy. You can feel the weight of a fabric easily by the thickness when you feel the fabric in your hand:)
The secret beauty of the dress construction lies in the dress sleeves and down part of the skirt which is finished in lace.

"The Little Black Dress is not just a fashion accessory.
It's an institution - an iconic fashion symbol."

The piano keys are black and white, but they sound like a million colours in your mind...
I've woken now to find myself in the shadows of all I have created.

Please check out the Rag timecomposition I wrote and play:
Hope you enjoy:
